Development Of Presentation Techniques


The development of ICT (Information and communication technology) in education has enhances the presentation techniques of teachers. Every teacher needs to express his ideas about the subject in front of their students. The achievement and understanding of students depends on teachers with innovative presentation techniques.
They must have good presentation techniques for creating an efficient, informative and motivating learning environment. A good presentation increases the eagerness to read and improve retention. Nowadays Teachers are using various ICT tools such as Interactive Whiteboards, Projectors, digital visualisers, digital signage, response systems, educational content etc to boost their presentation techniques.
One of the most important presentation techniques of teachers is to create interactive multimedia educational content relevant to the subject. The content should not contain any information that is irrelevant and confusing. The multimedia content is the heart of lessons. They contain interactive audio visuals.
Utilizing visuals as a presentation technique is the most important ideas that a teacher can learn. Students learn and retain information more through visuals than spoken words.
Projectors display multimedia, power point files, animation, video and other contents of computer to their students with bigger image on Interactive whiteboards. Interactive Whiteboards are used in place of traditional whiteboards in the classroom. They have loads of presentation tools such as annotation, spotlight, wrapscreen, record etc. Teacher annotates, writes on board with loads of presentation tools making effective learning environment. Visualisers are powerful presentations tool used in lessons which can show any text, 2D or 3D object in detailed view to the whole class. They enhance the lessons and makes effective presentations for students creating a better learning environment. Response system comprises of teacher handset, sets of audience handset, receiver and software. The teacher asks questions in various formats such as text, numeric, multiple choices, yes or no, true or false etc .the software collects information about responses which teacher can use for assessment. It helps teachers to identify the weak and strong points of student’s knowledge about the topic.
